Three Things I Love About Photographing Families

Why I Love Photographing Families

Here we are in the month of love! Although, really, Valentine’s Day is just a fun day, an excuse for something special in the middle of winter.

Seeing Families / Kids Grow

It is so fun to see families change and grow over time! What an honor to be the person to document it.

This is one of my favorite families. I photographed their engagement session, wedding, maternity session, newborn session, various mini sessions, second son’s newborn session, more mini sessions. I mean, does it get any better? I get witness and document all of the best stuff of life!

Inspiration

I have been fortunate to have such inspiring, amazing clients.

I especially love working with clients who have kids just a little older than mine. I learn so much from them — what to expect from my own kids as well as parenting strategies they have successfully used.

Providing Family Heirlooms

The personal value of family photography increases over time.

I hate to go into sad thoughts, but it’s true. A photo I took of a bride and her mom became priceless to the bride after her mom died of cancer.

As a photographer, I get to document the sweet moments and important relationships that you will reflect on as time passes.

And so that these moments aren’t lost on a crashed hard-drive, I provide exceptional quality goods: albums, framed art, archival prints.

Thank You

I have to end this blog post with a big thanks: thank you for allowing me into your life. It is an honor to be here.
