Loveland has some of the most beautiful session locations on the Front Range — Devil's Backbone, River's Edge, the Big Thompson — and some of the most beautiful homes for in-home sessions too. I've been photographing Loveland families for years and I know this area well.
I'm Susannah. Whether you just brought a new baby home, your family is overdue for photos, or your senior is almost out the door — I'd love to document it. No stiff poses. No stressful process. Just real, warm images worth keeping.
The newborn stage is over so fast. And the weeks just before — that last stretch of pregnancy when everything feels both endless and fleeting — deserve to be documented too. Many Loveland families book both maternity and newborn sessions to bookend that entire season.
Newborn Sessions
I come to you. No packing up a newborn and driving somewhere — sessions happen in your home, at your baby's pace, with plenty of time built in for feeding, soothing, and settling. I'll photograph the two of you together, the tiny details, and any siblings or pets who want to be part of it. Newborn photo sessions typically run 90 minutes or more.
Book during pregnancy. The sweet spot is days 5–14 and Loveland spots fill up — especially spring and fall.
Maternity Sessions
Loveland has some genuinely stunning outdoor settings for maternity sessions. River's Edge Natural Area has beautiful water reflections and open sky. The Big Thompson Path is easy and natural. And Devil's Backbone — if you're up for a short hike — is dramatic in a way that's hard to find anywhere else on the Front Range.
Client wardrobe available — no outfit stress required. Most clients book between 28–34 weeks.
There's a reason in-home photography sessions are my first recommendation — someday your kids will want to see exactly where they grew up. The bedroom with the glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling. The stuffed animals lined up on the shelf. The kitchen table where homework happened and arguments happened and dinner happened every single night. Those details disappear faster than you think, and a park can't give you any of them. Your home can.
For families who want to be outside, Loveland delivers. River's Edge Natural Area is my personal favorite — water, cottonwoods, and beautiful light. The Big Thompson Path is wonderful for a relaxed walking session with natural surroundings. And Devil's Backbone offers dramatic scenery that photographs unlike anywhere else.
Somehow, suddenly, they're seniors. This is the year to document exactly who they are before everything changes.
Whether your senior is at Loveland High, Thompson Valley, Mountain View, or Resurrection Christian — this is the year worth documenting. River's Edge and Devil's Backbone both photograph beautifully for seniors, and the Big Thompson area has that rugged Colorado feel that makes for memorable portraits. I'm happy to suggest spots based on your senior's personality and style.
Multiple outfits welcome, yearbook submission handled directly. Senior portrait sessions start at $600 and include 15 digital images. Book by early summer — fall fills fast.
Have questions? I'd love to hear about your senior.

Loveland family, newborn, and maternity sessions include a $300 session fee. After your gallery reveal, you choose a collection of digital files and print credit toward artwork, ranging from $800–$1,500. Most families invest between $1,100 and $1,875 total.
Senior portrait sessions in Loveland and Northern Colorado start at $600 and include 15 digital images plus yearbook photo submission. Upgrades available.
Every session includes planning support, styling guidance, and a curated online gallery.
Book two sessions within 12 months and receive $300 off your second session fee. This is especially popular with maternity and newborn clients who want to document both pregnancy and those first weeks with baby — and with newborn families who return for a family session as their baby grows. Parents of seniors who add a family session while everyone is together love it too.
I'm Susannah, a Marylander at heart (um, crabs, Cal Ripken Jr., and Natty Boh hon) who has lived in Colorado for 20 years. I am also a mom, wife, cat mama, and (of course) photographer.
I've been photographing families, kids, babies, and weddings professionally for 15 years. Before being a professional photographer, I was a preschool and art teacher.
Currently, I love reading books, watching my boys play soccer, the bands Phish and King Gizz, hiking 14ers, running, rafting, traveling, and all things photography.
Also, I love and am terrified of mountain lions.
