Boulder Sunrise Amphitheater Wedding Ceremony + CU’s Koenig Alumni Center Reception

Mandy and Chris got married on a beautiful Boulder, Colorado summer day.

First, their wedding ceremony took place at the Sunrise Amphitheater. The Sunrise Amphitheater is easily one of the top scenic wedding ceremony venues in the Boulder area. Mountains and city views? Check!

Afterwards, the couple’s wedding reception took place at the University of Colorado’s Koenig Alumni Center, which is a great spot for a wedding. I especially love the shady trees on CU’s campus, which means great, easy wedding portraits.

More favorite memories from this Boulder wedding include

*The groom’s grandma made the bouquet. I love the meaning behind details like that.

*Another live band. I love them. There is nothing like a good live band to get people dancing. I’m pretty sure I cried at one point…I think it was during “At Last.”

*The food. It was delicious–thanks Spice of Life Catering.

*There was a sudden downpour during the buffet. It rained and rained and thundered and rained so so hard. It was amazing. And then the sun came back out in true Boulder style.

*Multiple gorgeous wedding cakes. And I mean gorgeous.

*The University of Colorado’s buses (known as the Buff Buses) drove wedding guests to and from the ceremony site. (The Sunrise Amphitheater is about a 15 minute drive up the slow-going Flagstaff Road from Boulder.) Little known fact: I used to work for CU’s Transportation Services, which runs the Buff Bus service!
