A sneak peek from Tom and Cynthia’s Boulder Colorado wedding. Their wedding ceremony took place up the Sunrise Amphitheater and their wedding reception took place at the Chautauqua Dining Hall.

Artifact Uprising recently introduced a layflat photo album, and because I wanted to make a wedding album for the Chautauqua Dining Hall / Three Leaf Catering, I decided to test out their new product. I was definitely happy with the final product!

It is no secret that I absolutely love a Boulder Chautauqua wedding! This is where I got married (on the green, through the city of Boulder and then in the Dining Hall).

Nicole and David’s elegant Highlands Ranch Mansion wedding was recently featured on the Knot. This Colorado wedding venue is absolutely spectacular–beautiful, stunning, inspiring. And Nicole’s dad even contributed to the venue by enhancing its amazing qualities–he’s an architect and worked on the venue’s remodeling. Many other vendors came together to put on this Colorado wedding, including….

Colorado Mountain / Ski Resort Wedding Photography
Arapahoe Basin is one of the most scenic wedding spots in the state of Colorado. The mountains at A-Basin are so rugged and steep and just perfect.
And everything about Kari and Dave’s Black Mountain Lodge / Arapahoe Basin wedding was a joy. From the rock climbing wedding couple to Dave’s sense of humor, from the spectacular views to Meredith and the event staff at A-basin, from Kari’s stunning dress to the colorful sunflower bouquets…I was in photo heaven on their wedding day.

Mountain Wedding at the Peaceful Valley Ranch near Lyons. When I heard that Becky and Aaron were getting married at the Peaceful Valley Ranch in the mountains outside of Boulder, I was already hooked–I wanted to photograph their big day. Ever since I went on a mini vacation there with my family when I first moved to Colorado, I’ve enjoyed any visits to Peaceful Valley. And when I learned that Becky was from Vermont, one of my favorite states (Maryland, Colorado, Vermont, and New York are tops on my list), I was even more interested. And then I learned that Aaron was a rugby player (I played in college)–I was really hoping it would all work out. And, as luck would have it, it did.

When I look back on this June wedding that took place at Boulder, Colorado’s Greenbriar Inn, I just can’t help but smile. I am so lucky that Becky and Bryan chose me to photograph their day–simply put, they rock. They are smart. They are into spreadsheets (I wish I was). They are laid-back, easy-going. Bryan’s smile and big guffaw is infectious. Becky is beautiful. They had banjo music at their ceremony. So many things that made me feel right at home.

So today I am even more excited to be able to send you to a Colorado Courtship’s blog to view images from a mountain wedding that took place at the Lodge at Breck that I photographed earlier this summer. John and Megan are an amazing couple. You can read all about them and their wedding at that blog post. But a little more gushing from me…I loved the engagement session that we did in Highlands Ranch…they were up for anything and Megan’s long hair sparkling in the sun was just to-die-for! John is from Maryland (Woot, woot, not that it matters!) and he has a great sense of humor (always a bonus). Their taste is great–Megan’s wedding dress was absolutely gorgeous, their wedding decor was well planned, and their “cake”–I was jealous of dining guests. And of course, the Lodge at Breck’s deck is just one of the most scenic spots in all of Colorado! Thank you Megan and John for letting me be a part of your wedding day.

Winter Engagement Photography
This Golden Colorado engagement session was taken in the Foothills outside of Denver/Golden in Coal Creek Canyon. Kari and Dave met up with me on a warm winter’s day (don’t you just love Colorado winters?!) to hike around the area where one of my dear friends lives. They brought their beloved pooch to join in on the fun, and for me it sure was fun. Dave makes me laugh and giggle so much; Kari is a lucky lady to have him! I enjoyed spending time and hiking with these two (plus a dog) outdoorsy people. (And, in case you happen to be wondering, no mountain lions were spotted during this engagement session.)

Keystone Ranch Wedding {Jason + Katelyn}
Katelyn got married on Memorial Day weekend at Keystone Ranch a couple of May’s ago. Their wedding has been featured on Summit Mountain Weddings website in the past, but I realized I have never shared it on this blog. So here it is…
One of the my main memories of their big day was the best man’s speech. Katelyn’s brother was friends with Jason and introduced the couple. He was the Best Man and his speech was amazing. By the end of it, I was wishing Jason was one of my best pals.
Additionally, huge props out to the venue coordinators. The wedding was originally going to take place at Keystone’s Ski Tip Lodge, but got relocated at the last minute. Keystone pulled it off without any hitches.

Just a couple quick photographs from a wedding earlier in the summer! It took place at the gorgeous Highlands Ranch Mansion. The bridal suite is amazing, the groom’s area is fun, the addition is spectacular. If you are planning a Denver wedding and aren’t sure where to get married, I highly suggest looking into this venue.
