Colorado Family Photography Featuring Sweet Baby Boy

Early last fall I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet family. We started our photography session at their home (YAY!) and then headed to a nearby park for family photos in nature.

If you’ve read any other of my family photography blog posts, you know that I love, love, love in home family photography sessions. They are so perfect for newborns, babies, kiddos, ornery partners…everyone! Everyone is in their familiar spots among favorite things, and partners and kids can take breaks as needed. Plus playing with window light creates magical portraits. And front porches/stoops are a great spot for photos. And being in your own home helps to tell your story to your one-day grandkids.

Since these lovely parents wanted natural surroundings as well, we headed to a park after capturing Denver baby photos in his nursery, the family hanging out on the living room couch, and other sweet moments.

The in home photos feel more relaxed to me–more authentic shared moments. The park photos include some of that, but also had more posing.
