Nederland Colorado Family Photography On a Snowy Windy Winter’s Day (with Outfit Tips).

I am excited to share winter outfit tips as exhibited by a super photogenic family!

This family drove to the mountains above Boulder, Colorado all the way from Kansas.  They traveled to Colorado to enjoy a long weekend of skiing and togetherness and creating new memories. I headed to Nederland, Colorado to meet them on what turned out to be a windy day to capture some portraits of their Colorado adventure.

Before I share photographs from our time together, I just want to say this: If you are a mom or dad organizing a photography session, take a look at what these family members are wearing. They look spectacular. Outfit tips are below!

Outfit tips for photography sessions

The family looks so great because:

• They coordinate super nicely without being too matchy-matchy.
• The reds. What great pops of color and vibrancy during the winter season.
• The textures. Pea coats, sweaters, chunky hats, boots with fur trim…this adds some great interest and depth to the images.
• The ladies took time to do hair and make-up.
