Boulder Chautauqua Lawn Wedding + Dining Hall Reception

If you have read through this blog, you’ll know that I love those Boulder Chautauqua Lawn wedding ceremonies and those Chautauqua Dining Hall receptions. (Ahem, yes, I got married on the Chautauqua Lwn and celebrated in the Dining Hall!) So, of course, I was excited to photograph Beach and Rebecca’s Chautauqua wedding day.

The first thing that blew me away on the wedding day was Rebecca’s dress. So gorgeous, intricate, and unique. She had me from that moment on. I was also so happy that her dog was present–he is so handsome and clearly knew how to be the perfect wedding guest.

More favorite memories from this Boulder wedding include

*The groom’s shoes. I believe he wore a formal dress slipper, which I have never seen a groom do. Of course, I love it when couples introduce me to new traditions or fashion or showcase their

*The music–another live band. I have seen more and more live bands over the past couple of wedding seasons, and the energy and excitement seems to get the guests going every time.

*Rebecca gave her dad an embroidered handkerchief as a wedding gift. He mentioned it in his speech, and I love the heartfelt gift.

*The first dance. The couple danced to “Scarlet Begonias” by the Grateful Dead, and anytime one of my favorite bands is included in wedding music, I feel happy.

*During the grand exit, an Uber car came and whisked the newlyweds away.

*Many of the guests were from Texas, and they came looking super sharp. I enjoyed their style and the hats that many of the women donned.
