Happy new year. As we welcome the fresh start of the new year, it is time to reflect on the past one.
2013 was the year my son was born. In June. Right in the middle of wedding season. Two weeks before he entered the world, Amanda and Josh let a very pregnant photographer capture their wedding day. For this, I am grateful. Marj Merges and my husband were on hand to capture moments and assist, and for this, I am grateful. Six weeks after he entered the world, I photographed Margaret and Mike’s Golden Colorado wedding. Although I missed my little angel, it felt wonderful to get away, and to witness another (and perhaps the sweetest!) couple tying the knot. There were many more weddings, complete with moose, a private ranch, disco balls, two couples getting married at one wedding, a hot air balloon ride. Again, I am incredibly grateful.
Meanwhile, I augmented weddings with pet photography. Angus, Nissa, Sara, Molly, Rusti, and Kingston are just some of the dogs I had the pleasure of meeting in 2014. I sold many pet gift certificates at the end of 2013, and look forward to meeting a bunch of new pets (and their owners!) in 2014. View my pet photography website.
Right now, I am still accepting weddings for 2014. My schedule is filling up, which makes me feel incredibly honored. I look forward to a whole new season of getting to know my wedding couples and to share in some of the most memorable moments of their lives. I look forward to pushing my photography skills, being more efficient in my growing business, and to being more mindful in all areas of my life. I look forward to a wonderful, joyful year, and I hope that yours is too. Happy 2014!
