There is nothing like a newborn baby–so sweet, so soft, so delicious smelling! And while I have thoroughly enjoyed my own two babies as newborns, it is wonderful to spend time with other people’s newborns. All the perks but with a side of sleep for me. So I was excited to head to Boulder for this family newborn session many, many months ago.

How a Newborn Photo Session Works

I head to your home to photograph your new baby (with you, with siblings, even with pets!). Live in Boulder? I’ll head to you. Louisville, Longmont, Golden, Fort Collins? Same–I’ll head to your home for your newborn shoot.

This keeps your baby super safe, and allows for plenty of breaks. Need to feed the baby? Change diapers? Rock them? No worries! And, photographing newborns at home allows other family members to take breaks during the session. Your partner can step out to answer emails while I photograph your sweet little one.

I photograph your baby and all the family groupings by very loosely posing everyone, and by providing prompts. I also capture “real life” action–diaper changing, bottle warming, etc. I do not overly pose your baby–it is not my style.
