Wild Basin Lodge Wedding Photography {Allenspark, Colorado}

Finally, photos from a fall Wild Basin Lodge wedding!

One of the biggest changes has happened since my last blog post: my husband and I welcomed our second son into the world! The baby joined our family earlier in December, and we are still getting to know him and still figuring out how to run our household with two little boys just 18 months apart (I am not sure if we well ever have the latter 100% resolved!). But, we feel especially blessed this holiday season.

Luckily, this little guy entered the world during the “off-season” for photography, and I am taking a break from photographing weddings, families, and pets through January to focus on my new son and the fleeting period that he is a newborn, and to give extra attention to my toddling little man. I am, however, still booking weddings (and family sessions and pet sessions) for 2015 and still meeting with potential wedding couples (email info@susannahphoto.com to book or inquire).

And hopefully I will be sharing images from the past couple years! I’ve been sitting on this fall Wild Basin Lodge wedding for some time, in hopes to submit it to a wedding blog. The bride had incredible taste in putting together all of her wedding details, and I feel her ideas are helpful to others who are wedding planning. But, with taking care of wedding couples, vendors, other clients, and my family, time has escaped me. So, I am excited to share this mountain wedding with you all today! (The detail photos appear on my wedding website.)

Susannah

I've been photographing families professionally since 2006. I am a wife, mama to 2 boys, companion to 2 cats who are named after members of the royal British family, a former preschool teacher. I love running, hiking 14ers, sparkly clothes, the band Phish, river float trips, St. John USVI, farm CSAs, and Colorado blue skies.
