Lyons is home to many wonderful Colorado wedding venues, and the Lyons Farmette is one of my favorite. Being in this beautiful spot is so inspirational. The colorful flowers, the old Airstreams (yes, that is right, plural!), the trees, the lush green lawn, the fire pit, the river…oh yeah, I can’t forget the chickens, the goats, the rustic tractor.
The space doesn’t need any transformations to be the perfect wedding venue, but I’ve been lucky enough to photograph the weddings of couples who have gone above and beyond. They have decorated the Lyons Farmette with charming, whimsical details: mason jars full of colorful flowers, burlap table runners, map-based escort cards, twinkling lights wrapped around the grand fallen tree to light a true farm-to-table dinner under a full moon, food trucks and dessert food trucks…I could go on and on.
And then there are the amazing owners and staff–so enthusiastic and helpful. And I haven’t even touched upon the new Riverbend site!
With its proximity to the mountains, the St. Vrain Rivers, red rocks and red dirt, and a quirky main street, Lyons hosts many amazing possibilities for both wedding portraits and engagement portraits.
